1590 MCM Ratite ACSS Aluminum Conductor Steel Supported

The 1590 MCM Ratite ACSS Aluminum Conductor Steel Supported is a composite, concentric-lay stranded conductor. A central core of steel strands is encased in two or more layers of aluminum 1350-O wire, with the steel core bearing most or all of the mechanical load due to the soft aluminum.
